Pocketsful Makes My Day Times FOUR!

I mentioned I had more jewelry to show off! I'm finally un-jet-lagged enough to semi-coherently compose a post!

Michelle, the fabulously talented artist / designer behind Pocketsful sent me FOUR photos of finished pieces! Nothing makes my day more than seeing my beads in a gorgeous finished piece of jewelry! Check these out:

I just adore my long skinny focal set off with pearls! The next three all feature my favorite silvered ivory.  I really love how these came out:

Michelle hasn't listed these in her shop yet but if you see something you like, I'm sure you could covo her and inquire about the pieces!

Display Bead

With the Kramer Bead I showed off last week, I'm now on my third bead for display! I love wearing big heavy beads so... this is a totally new concept to me.

I know I mentioned artist Michelle Plumb of Pocketsful before...she commissioned my first display bead. Well, she purchased another bead and turned it into a display. Meet Empyrea's Egg:

I know I'm not going to relay the story totally well because, I've never been wired for video games and Michelle takes AMAZING inspiration from them. But here's my screwy version... Empyrea the bird can save the world and keep darkness at bay but she sacrifices her own egg and offspring. In Michelle's version, Empyrea gets to save the world and keep her egg! So cool!!!

Don't you just LOVE nest made of wire???

What's on your weekend agenda??? I've got a huge order to pull off, still cleaning like a mad woman, lots of hiking and swimming and pup cuddling around here!

Hope yours is special!!!

I wanted to show you a pretty necklace made by one of my customers. Cheryl F. makes jewelry just for fun for herself, friends and family...Hmmm... Isn't that how all jewelry addictions start??? Anyway... her work is beadutiful!!!

This is my Sea Dreams Set. I wanted to show you the colors against white so you could see the gorgeous purples:

And this is Cheryl's stunning necklace:

I hope you have a lovely weekend. I'm going to do my best to get myself back on track!

The pieces Michelle has shown me in the past are... well... personal to her and I just did not feel right sharing her gorgeous jewelry here in such a public way.

But... she's made a piece for the current Fire Diva's Jewelry Challenge and that... I can share! Michelle has done well in our competitions in the past. The thing that makes this piece extra special is the story that Michelle is telling:

Bracelet made with olive green bead set by Fire Diva Holly Dare, brushed vermeil heart beads, lampwork red & green dotted bead, 10mm and 6mm green fire polish beads, gold spacers, bead caps, branch drop and gold vermeil filigree clasp.

My inspiration is from The Grinch Who Stole Christmas.

"And what happened then? Well, in Whoville they say that the Grinch's small heart grew three sizes that day."

The bracelet depicts the Grinch's transformation, while the dotted lampwork bead on the clasp represents the Whos. The gold branch is the horn the Grinch tied on his dog Max’s head.
What would the holidays be without watching all those wonderful TV specials we grew up with?

Isn't that just awesome???

While we only have a few entries so far, ALL are wonderful. There are about three weeks left to enter!! Get busy ya'll!!!
