Fresh Glass 11.24.15

More Fresh glass... the green and red was my December made to order earring colors, ordered by another glasser for a quick turnaround order. Because it was another glasser, they had to PURRR FECT.  Not just perfect...PURRR FECT! I was a neurotic mess. She got 14, I got 9!  These will make an appearance in the trunk show.

 I was a bit disappointed with the bicones... too dark. They will hit the etching solution. And the that dichro montser??? OMG.. That bead would not let me sit down! I  was literally dancing the whole time I made it!  It will be in the trunk show! Meet Dancer:

Saturday Night Special Is Up

Just thought I'd mention there's a Saturday Night Special up on the Fan Page. I got it up kinda late so it doesn't end until Sunday night! ;-)

Aventurine Waves is a loverly silvered ivory focal with LOTS going on! Waves of lines created by the silver on the ivory glass, interspersed with rich metallic blue, vibrant silver green, and teal... and lots of sparkling aventurine green shards melted in for added interest! 58 mm long x 12 mm wide; 3/32nd hole; digitally annealed.

Fresh Glass 8.20.15

More Moonwalks... The red is part of a five bead set... beads 1, 3 and 5... I made 2 and 4 months ago and just never had the heart to make the other three. Partly because these mothers take so freaking long to make. I've yet to make an xl in under 40 minutes and just over 30 for the other pieces.  I know going in that I will never the $ for that investment of time.  A set like that "should" go for $160...but I'll do good to break $100...sigh.

The other XL moonwalk is a moody red - yes red! - covered in more of that honeycomb dichroic. I wasn't sure I would like it but I was trying to break out of the black base bead mold... I think it's lovely!!

Fresh Glass Late February 2015

These are the last batch of beads that I didn't get to photograph right out of the kiln as I was dashing to the post office. At set of rainbow big hole beads for Pandora style bracelets.

The customer who wanted the green witch boobies...took all that I made! I love when that happens!

And a focal that is so pretty in person but too shiny to photograph well...

I've managed to get sick on only my 2nd day of school... Not sure when there will be more!

Halloween Jewelry

Of all those scads of Halloween Cupcakes I made a while back, as well as the majority this year's Halloween focals were sold to ONE person. She helps run a Halloween Haunted Castle fundraiser so I think she wanted lots of options for all those endless planning meetings beforehand. She had me turn them into pendants and I thought I would show them off.
